October is National Orthodontic Health Month and a perfect time to reach current and new patients in your community. Below are a few ways you can celebrate this month with your practice!

Reach out to your local schools to do a short presentation to your desired audience.

Prepare a presentation of the importance of oral health and how orthodontics can help create a happier, healthier mouth. Make sure to bring along materials for students to follow along with and bring home to their parents.

Add some personalized products to your “goody bag” that include your logo and contact information, so they remember who taught their class and parents can reach out easier. To make a larger impact, give them a practical item like lip balm, a toothbrush, or even some floss!

Host a mouth guard clinic at your practice and promote to your local sports teams.

With school in full session, reach out to your local sports teams and offer an opportunity for athletes to come in for mouth guard impressions. You can offer these for free or at a discount. Provide an information element the coaches can hand out to their students of the benefits of mouth guards.
